STUFF YOUR FACE!

The Dana Point Turkey Trot has been a beloved Orange County tradition for 44 years. Burn off those pre-Thanksgiving meal calories by running or walking a 5K, 10K, Combo 15K, or Kids 1-Mile Gobble Wobble in the beautiful Dana Point Harbor. Registration includes a race t-shirt, finisher medal, bib with timing, and virtual goody bag. Plus, a portion of each registration is donated to local charities.

 

What we're doing 

and what you can do to help us

Supplies are stocked and maintained with…

  • Soap and water in the bathrooms

  • No-touch receptacles in the bathrooms

  • Alcohol-based hand sanitizer in the studios

  • Disinfectant wipes and sprays in the studios

  • Tissues in the studios


Extra cleaning crew has been assigned to…

  • Clean the bathrooms multiple times each day

  • Clean the studio floors multiple times each day

  • Wipe door handles, bathroom faucets, surfaces, and anything that staff, teachers, or students commonly touch  

  • Collect all used studio mats and other props and sanitize

  • Collect blankets, bolsters, and equipment and sanitize
     

Signage has been posted…

  • Posted signs in each bathroom about washing hands frequently and thoroughly

       with soap and water for at least 20 seconds

  • Posted signage at the front entrances regarding the request to refrain from practicing

       at the studio if under the weather
 

Owner and Staff are…

  • Monitoring daily reports from governmental organizations like the CDC, and will share relevant updates with managers, staff and teachers

  • Encouraging teachers and facilitators to work from home or take the day off if they are not feeling well.

  • Encouraging teachers to practice good health habits, such as getting plenty of sleep, being physically active, managing their stress, drinking plenty of fluids, and eating nutritious foods

  • Signing, and returning the health waivers

  • No longer doing hands on assists or physical adjustments

    Students and Practitioners, we ask that you…

  • Remain at home if you are sick but to do a home practice if you feel up to it to help manage stress

  • Contact your instructor or the studio to reserve your spot

  • Reduce the usage of props during in-studio classes, when possible

  • If props are used, please wipe down with disinfectant and place into designated areas for sanitation

  • Please maintain distance and allow for more space between mats/seats, 6 ft apart

  • Read, sign, and return the health waivers

  • Consider wearing a mask. Masks are not required by the studio but are highly encouraged. It is up to each renter/facilitator to direct their participants as they wish. 

 

Please note that we have recently expanded our square footage and now also have the opportunity for increased ventilation between the two doors whenever possible.
